March 2008 – "SpotOn" Quality Travel in Mill Hill and Feniscowles

They have a bright interior with a very spacious feel about it. The seats are comfortable and the ride is very smooth. The low entry height, flat floor and well placed stanchions make it easy to use by our many elderly passengers whose mobility is often reduced.
All of these features will undoubtedly help to attract more people out of their cars and on to the buses”, says David Wilson, our Commercial Development Director. He added "We are determined to make bus travel more attractive and accessible for all and this is a first class example of what can be achieved".
The addition of this third batch of new vehicles in a little over a year, brings the total investment to £5.3m in new buses and brings the day closer to us meeting our target of all of Transdev Lancashire United’s commercial services being operated by buses that are 100% low floor easy access with space for buggies and wheelchairs.
John Threlfall, Operations Director, Transdev Lancashire United commented ”Our new Optare Versa buses are fitted with engines that meet the latest European emission regulations, making them some of the greenest buses around”.
