Buggies aboard
Lancashire United is proud that all vehicles have been specifically adapted and certified to carry children in buggies and small pushchairs.
As there are so many different types of buggies and pushchairs, this guide has been designed to help you decide if your buggy can be carried.

How many buggies can be carried?
Generally, up to two single-occupancy buggies may be carried and only one double-occupancy at any one tme. However, some buses have a larger space available and can accomodate an additional single-occupancy buggy.
At the bus stop
Position the buggy well clear of the kerb edge and signal to the driver that you would like the bus to stop.
Boarding the bus
- Wait until the bus has stopped completely and the step has been lowered. Please allow any alighting customers to leave the bus.
- The levels between the bus entrance and the kerb may not be level. so please take care.
- Please use the handrails provided
- Check to see if your buggy can be accommodated.
- Please ensure the brakes are correctly applied.
During the journey
- Do not hang shopping bags or other items on the buggy handles as this may cause it to become unstable.
- Do not obstruct the gangway
- Buggy spaces are allocated on a 'first come, first serve' bases. Buggies and wheelchairs have priority in these areas, your driver will help with any problems.
Alighting from the bus
- As the bus approaches your stop, please ring the bell once. Remain seated until the bus has completely stopped.
- Your driver will open the doors and lower the step, please do not leave before this has been completed.
- Take care when alighting as the bus and the kerb may not be in perfect alignment.
